Personal Interests:

In my free time, I enjoy traveling, spending time with family and friends, swimming and volunteering with the 4-H Club.

Education:

I received my Bachelor of Science in Biology and Minor in German Studies from EmoryUniversity in Atlanta, Georgia and my DVM from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine.

I have always been drawn to animals and to science. When I was little, I enjoyed reading and hold the James Herriot stories very near and dear to my heart. My first pet was a dwarf bunny named “Priscilla,” who was a wonderful first pet. She was extra special because she was my very own pet. I learned to take care of her and many other pets, including two budgie parakeets, “William” and “Mary”, and our many Scottish Terriers. Currently, I have a close canine companion, “Alias”, a Shepherd mix, who is absolutely the best dog and a wonderful friend.
