"I wanted to be a veterinarian since I was a young child. My future career path became clear at age 13 when one of my family's pugs, Hattie, was diagnosed with diabetes. I can still remember her Veterinarian teaching me how to give the insulin injections. I loved the feeling of being a part of her care and helping Hattie feel better."
