DVM from Cornell UniversityI had several "pocket pets" (hamsters and gerbils) growing up as well as a beloved goldfish that lived for 13 years, but my true inspiration for becoming a veterinarian came from the many childhood visits to my aunt's and uncle's farm.
I spent every waking hour grooming and riding the horses, searching for newborn kittens in the hayloft, and running around with the dogs. I have dreamed of becoming a veterinarian for as long as I can remember, and with lots of love and support from my family and friends, I am truly blessed to have accomplished this goal. I cannot imagine spending my life doing anything else.
