Grammy D’s Dog Cookies

2 ½ c. whole wheat flour
½ c. powdered milk
1 tsp garlic powder
1 T. wheat germ
1 tsp beef bouillon granules
6 T bacon grease or meat drippings
1 egg
½ c. ice water
Combine all dry ingredients, cut in drippings. Mix in egg. Add enough ice water to form a ball. Pat to ½ inch thick dough. Cut with cookie-cutter. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes.

1st option:
Just buy a tub of Hershey’s vanilla frozen yogurt – scoop generous portion into a small dish, place between the dog’s front paws and watch the delighted dog dig in.
Alternative #1:
Buy low-fat vanilla yogurt and scoop into plastic popsicle or ice cube tray. Freeze overnight. Remove individual treats as needed to give to your dog for a yummy, anytime snack.
Alternative #2:
Mix 32-ounce container of low-fat vanilla yogurt with 1 can of tuna fish. Spoon into 24, 3-oz plastic bathroom cups. Freeze overnight. Remove individual cups when you need a quick snack for your dog.
Jo’s Stew for Dogs
1 lb low fat beef or lamb
3 potatoes
3 carrots
2 Tbsp Olive Oil
2 celery sticks
2 pints beef broth
1. Brown meat in pan with oil.
2. Add in broth and simmer for 45 minutes. Add vegetables. Cover. 
3. Simmer for another 45 minutes until all ingredients are soft.
4. Cool and serve.
