Pender Veterinary Centre is seeking energetic, experienced veterinary nurses and veterinary technicians to join our team of talented, dedicated professionals in Northern Virginia. Qualified candidates will possess excellent technical skills and excellent people skills, and will have a proven record in handling difficult situations and making client service a priority. Interested candidates should have at least 2 years experience, strong communication skills, and a passion for veterinary medicine.

Duties include helping our veterinarians treat patients; assisting in medical and surgical procedures; performing clinical laboratory procedures; taking and processing all radiographs; admitting and discharging patients on the doctor’s orders; handling multiple phone lines; and assisting clients through the appointment process. At your disposal are modern surgical suites, laser procedures, digital radiography, ultrasonography, endoscopy and arthroscopy equipment and a full-service in-house laboratory—all the tools you need to be part of a state-of-the-art veterinary medicine practice. 

Pender Veterinary Centre is a busy, 24 hour practice, and qualified candidates must enjoy a fast-paced environment. This is an active job, which requires being on the floor during your shift. We are located in Fairfax, near Fair Oaks Mall. Pender is a drug-free workplace, and we conduct pre-employment and frequent random drug testing.  We offer competitive salary and benefits.
