Pender’s Pet Retreat is located in Chantilly, Virginia, near the Dulles Airport. Our animal care center aims to have your pets feeling right at home while you’re away. Our canine and feline guests are housed in the most comfortable quarters, complete with multi-room abodes, play areas, charming views and the latest technological gadgets that enable you to check in with your pet throughout your trip.

Pender’s Pet Retreat sets itself apart from other animal care centers that board pets in that the accommodations are completely customizable depending on the needs of your pet. Your pets will receive one-on-one attention from our veterinarians, groomers and training specialists while staying at the Dulles Gateway Pet Retreat, ensuring that your pet enjoys their vacation as much as you do!

Services at Pender Pet Retreat

Afternoon Nature Trail Hike

A leisurely stroll on one of our long wooded trails.  You will receive a photo of your pet with the instructor. 

Bathing/Nail trims

Going for a spa vacation? Your pet can, too, while you’re away! Cleaning, trimming and helping your pet look and smell their best are calling cards of the Pender Pet Retreat.

Bedtime Exercise and Snack

This gives your dog an extra time outside just before bed to recieve a frozen yogurt treat or low-calorie biscuit treat.  Our on-site tenant will also provide some personal time and care by tucking your pet in for a good night's sleep.

Boarding

We prefer to think of it as "lodging" with us, and treat each of the pets in our lodging facility as welcome guests. The Pender Pet Retreat offers a choice of accommodations, services, exercise programs, pampering and more to maximize the comfort level of your pet's stay.

Chauffeur Service

We offer pet pick up and delivery service to and from Dulles Airport as well as to and from your home. So if you running tight on time – give us a call!

Daily Treat

Pig's ear, chewstick, chew hoove, low calorie biscuits, or an assortment.

Morning Playschool

Intense off-leash playing and exercising for dogs in a large fenced-in-area with a kennel assistant.  We do not exercise dogs together.  

Pampered Puppy Program

This was developed for dogs who need more personal interaction throughout the day and for those who are extremely active.  This program is a special value for $14.95 per day and included three exercise periods during the day (the Morning Playschool, the Afternoon Nature Trail Hike and the Bedtime Exercise) along with super-soft, lambswool bedding in your pet's sleep area and your choice of daily treat (Pig's ear, chewstick, chew hoove, low-calorie biscuits or an assortment).
