Pender Pet Adoption
Adoption Program
Founded in cooperation with the Fairfax County Animal Shelter, the Pender Cat Adoption Program was started at the animal care center in order to give kittens and young cats a second chance and find them loving homes.
As the health and wellbeing of these cats are our first priority, the veterinarians at Pender provide full physical examinations for these cats and test them for feline leukemia before placing them into the Pender Cat Adoption Program.
Pets currently up for Adoption at Pender:
JACK FROST - Jack is a neutered male, domestic short hair tabby cat. He came to Pender Veterinary Centre during a severe snowstorm. He was suffering from starvation and hypothermia. After spending three weeks in our intensive care unit, Jack was determined by our doctors to be stable enough to start his recovery program for adoption through Pender.
Jack has been tested negative for the Feline Leukemia and the Feline AIDs Virus. He has been dewormed several times, vaccinated against Rabies and Feline Distemper, and was neutered by our doctors.
A warm lap, quality food and a quiet life are what Jack is looking for in his new home. He has been with Pender since the end of January and has many friends here, but he is eager to start a new life with a forever family. If you would like to open your heart and your home to this special kitty, please contact us at 703-591-3304.
