Outside of my home I enjoy biking along the W&OD and try to eat at a new place every weekend. But I’m mostly a homebody who enjoys video games, watching too much Netflix, and the occasional voice acting for indie games and Youtube videos. I also like teaching my dog, a shepherd/corgi mix named Georgi la Forge, tricks such as balancing treats on his nose and jump roping.
Bachelors in Psychology with minors in Computer Science and Biology from Longwood University. Associates in Veterinary Technology from Northern Virginia Community College
After graduating from college I started looking for a job in my major with no luck. In the meantime, I thought it’d be fun to start volunteering at my local shelter. I ended up loving it so much that I started working there within a couple months. With strong encouragement from my coworkers I entered into a Vet Tech program to further progress my knowledge and skills. I worked in a small general practice for a year as the lead technician before moving into inventory management here at Pender. I really appreciate working in a field that is never boring, the veterinary field is always changing. But most of all, I love going into work knowing that what I do matters for the hospital, its staff, its clients, and its patients.
