I am Dr. Andy Sonichsen, practicing emergency medicine is a passion of mine, I love being able to help families on their worst days feel a bit better knowing their pet is in good hands. I also share a love for shelter and low cost medicine and care for the community we serve.

On my free time I love to read fictions and go hiking/backpacking with my dogs.

EDUCATION

I am from the Chicagoland area, I went to the University of Findlay in Ohio for undergraduate studies and moved back to Illinois to attend the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. 

HOW I GOT HERE

I have always had an interest in animal welfare and medicine, I grew up watching The Crocodile Hunter with Steve Erwin and Houston ASPCA on Animal Planet, those were my childhood TV shows, and I believe helped shape my career path from an early age.
