HOW I GOT HERE

My dream of becoming a veterinarian started at an early age when I began horseback riding which turned into competitive hunter/jumper showing over several years. I later began working at the local shelters and continued to foster both domestic and wild animals. I then began work as a veterinary treatment assistant during undergrad and continued my journey through veterinary technology school in which I obtained my license to practice as a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT).

Over the years, I worked as an LVT in general practice and then continued my career at multiple specialty and emergency practices. I then decided to pursue my life dream of becoming a veterinarian in which I attended St. George’s University and continued my clinical rotations at Auburn University. During my time in vet school, it has opened up numerous interests and passions in which I want to achieve while in this incredible field.

I am honored to start my DVM career with Pender as this progressive practice will allow me to improve and develop new skills, all while allowing me to provide the best, quality care to all our furry and exotic animal friends.
