HOW I GOT HERE

I have always had an interest in exotic companion animal medicine. I love how there’s something new to learn every day. I have worked in several clinics seeing both dogs and cats and exotics since high school. During my undergraduate years, I volunteered at the Milwaukee County Zoo, and I studied abroad in Tasmania, Australia where I was fortunate to work with some of the incredible animals endemic to that area. During veterinary school I was an active member of the wildlife, exotic, and zoo animal medicine club, and I helped plan their annual conference as well as several labs. During my clinical year of veterinary school my externships included National Wildlife Health Center, New England Wildlife Center, Melbourne Sea Life Aquarium, and the Avian and Exotic Clinic of Indianapolis. Working at Pender has provided me with the opportunity to work with and continuously learn from the animals I am so passionate about.
