I like to read/watch science fiction. I live with 4 cats and 2 ferrets that all get along well.

HOW I GOT HERE

I moved here from Chicago during the pandemic to be closer to my family. I had been working at Midwest Bird & Exotic Animal Hospital for 3.5 years before joining Pender in 2020. As an emergency vet, I saw 50% caseload of exotics and 50% cat/dog. Here at Pender, I am excited to be working in the Exotics department mainly, but I am starting to work in cat/dog ER again and enjoy this as well. I like variety and working with many different species. The field of exotic animal medicine is exciting as there is always updates and new research on how we can best care for our patients.  The reason why I decided to become a Veterinarian was my desire to help people take excellent care of their pet, and in turn strengthen their bond with their pet and their love for animals in general.
