HOW I GOT HERE

I have wanted to be a veterinarian since I was old enough to know what that word meant. Throughout school I volunteered at animal shelters and wildlife rehabilitation centers and even spent summers working at a zoo. I have always been happiest when caring for our furry (or feathered, scaled, etc.) friends. While in vet school, I fell in love with the excitement of emergency medicine—you never know what is going to walk in the door! After graduation, I came to Northern Virginia to be close to my family and quickly accepted a position here at Pender. I am so happy to have joined such a great team!
