When I’m not at work, I enjoy being outside, kickboxing, going to the movies, and being with my pets and family. I love to go hiking, snowboarding, and spending time at the beach. I also enjoy cooking and trying new foods with my husband. My favorite way to unwind is to hang out with my fuffle of 3 rabbits.

DVM from Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from George Mason University.

HOW I GOT HERE

I’ve had a love for animals ever since I was a child. I enjoyed going to zoos and aquariums with my family and watching the wildlife in my backyard. My first job in the veterinary field was here are Pender when I was a student at George Mason. I started as an assistant and progressed to a nurse. My love for animals only grew, and I found my passion for exotic animal medicine. I decided to become a veterinarian to help educate owners about their unique exotic pets, the importance of husbandry, and to help nurture the human-animal bond.
