HOW I GOT HERE

I started in general practice as an assistant in 2008 and emergency medicine in 2015. I attended the vet tech program at Blue Ridge while working in both practices. I graduated and received my license to practice medicine as a veterinary technician in 2015. My husband and I moved to El Paso, Texas where I spent the first two years working in a surgical specialty center practicing advanced anesthesia and analgesia. I then accepted a veterinary technician instructor position at Pima Medical Institute teaching in the Veterinary Technician program. My husband’s job brought us back to the east coast in the end of 2020 where I have started as the Veterinary Technician Manager here at Pender Veterinary Centre where I can work with and lead the technicians and assistants to provide life-long career development and success, client education, and excellent patient care.
