PROFESSIONAL INTERESTS
I have a major interest in dog/cat medicine, general internal medicine, surgery, exotic animal medicine, and shelter medicine.
PERSONAL INTERESTS
I am a Fairfax native, and when I am not hiking with my lovely dog, Luna, I am often found at home with my two wonderful grey cats, Smokey and Emma, enjoying a good scary movie or mystery show. I enjoy sewing, board games, and rock music.
EDUCATION
I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the College of William and Mary with a major in biology and a minor in chemistry. I received my VMD at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. While I consider Virginia to be my home, I still support Gritty.
HOW I GOT HERE
Like many veterinarians, I aspired to be a vet from a young age. I was particularly inspired by the many family pets I had as a child and teenager. My cats, dogs, and bearded dragons all experienced the best of Pender’s care. Prior to veterinary school, I gained necessary experience through my work at Pender—starting at the boarding facility and finally ending up in the dog/cat surgery department at the main hospital. During vet school, I was a proud participant in UPenn’s shelter medicine program and the ASPCA; I am grateful to continue to serve my community at Pender after graduation. The consistent compassion and quality of care in all departments of Pender inspired my veterinary journey, and I hope to provide the same inspiration to others.
