HOW I GOT HERE

I grew up surrounded by family pets, riding horses, and assisting my parents, both small animal vets themselves, in their clinic. Prior to veterinary school, I spent time volunteering at wildlife education centers and working in wildlife rehabilitation through the Wildlife Center of Virginia. Throughout veterinary school, I was heavily involved in my school’s wildlife triage program and our exotic animal club, as well as pursuing greater exposure to exotic, wildlife, and zoo animals through my veterinary school externships. I am excited to begin my career at Pender and continue to provide high-quality care for a wide range of exotic companions!
