PROFESSIONAL INTERESTS

Small Animal General Practice with special interests in preventive medicine, cardiology, and behavioral medicine. I’m interested in learning more about the human-animal bond, exploring ways to provide a full spectrum of care, and developing a better understanding of how to practice culturally aware medicine that reflects diverse backgrounds.

PERSONAL INTERESTS

Outside of veterinary medicine, I enjoy music, dancing, and watching movies and TV shows. I’ve recently gotten back into reading and have started following my favorite sports more closely. I also love driving around, spending time in nature, and watching the sunset by a lake.

HOW I GOT HERE

I’ve wanted to be a veterinarian since I was a kid and always looked for any opportunity to be around them. Living internationally for over a decade deepened my appreciation for the universal need for animal care and strengthened my passion for the field. During my training, I became particularly interested in how the human-animal bond connects with socioeconomic and cultural factors, and how that understanding can help us provide thoughtful, quality care. I’m excited to continue growing with the team at Pender and can’t wait to meet the furry members of your family!
